Hands down the best French bakery I’ve tried in Chicago: Vanille Patisserie. The “ambre” made me see the gates of heaven and the chocolate mousse made me question my nihilist agnosticism.

Finally made it to Odd Duck for brunch and was greeted with this amazingness: that’s a croissant stuffed with cheese, ham and a runny egg. Yum.
